Maxine.

Hey so Maxine and Hannah have been at Children’s Hospital for the past 23 days…on Friday night she underwent her second surgery in 9 days…this time a fairly common procedure called a pyloroplasti was used to help create space at the juncture where the problem part of her small intestine meets her stomach.

The origins of her ulcers still remain elusive…so goals for Maxine are being set in small steps…after two more days of recovery, they’ll start feeding her large intestine and hopefully once that awakens they’ll start moving up the ladder to the stomach and to liquid feeding by mouth et cetera.

The prognosis at this point assuming the small goals are met is to have her potentially home in 10 days.

Oskar is good, although I think he’s taking on Stewie like designs to take over the Cape…and I’m continuing to unpack and keep him on a regular schedule.

I’ve attached a pic of Max just prior to the last procedure…maybe pin it up and think nice things for her?  We’d appreciate it.

Best,

JC.
